You’ve come to the right place :) I LOVE adding nut butters to my daily nutrition, simply because they are an awesome way to get in healthy fats & sneak in some extra protein but ALSO because it’s delicious!
Here are 3 of my favorite, go-to healthy nut butter snacks
Chocolate nut butter yogurt bowl
Nut butter rice cake
1 plain rice cake
spread nut butter on top
add sliced bananas
drizzle of honey + sprinkle of cinnamon
Nut butter dates
3-4 dates sliced open
smear nut butter in the middle of the date
add a Brazil nut inside (optional if you like a crunch)
drizzle of honey + sprinkle of cinnamon
***Obviously, a little sprinkle of cinnamon & a small drizzle of honey elevates each of these snacks :)
TIPS when chosing nut butters
chose the nut butters that list the nut used as being the only ingredient (avoid any added sugars or oils)
Almond butter is the highest in healthy fats
Peanut butter has the highest protein
If you’re allergic to nuts, sunflower butter (sunbutter) is a great option
Cashew butter is naturally the sweetest of the nut butters so if you’re looking to lower your sugar intake without sacrificing your sweet tooth, this is a great option
